A Blast from Drifting Past
I missed the season premiere of Heroes, so I spent the time watching old D1 videos instead. I was standing just outside the last clipping point for these runs. That was a great event, I wish D1 All-Star was happening this year, but alas it is not in the cards.
Becoming a Pro Drifter: A lesson in Commitment
Henry Shell, Patrick Mordaunt, and Kyle Mohan talk about what it takes to step into the Formula D professional drift series. Having been around professional drifting now for a couple of years, I can say that nobody just “steps into a ride.” Each and every one of these drivers have made a commitment to the sport. The Best Thing That Ever Happened to Drifting

No single individual has done more to advance the state of Promotional Flyer artistry and design then B.H. Take time to appreciate the careful, hand crafted, designs. No longer are we forced to suck down models and bling. B.H.’s work engages the cerebral cortex, it invokes a sense of longing in the heart of the viewer. Will Roegge Takes us to Sonoma
Formula D Sonoma 2008 HD from Will Roegge
In this video, Ross Petty reminds viewers: “Better luck next time, Jesus loves you.” Also, some cars drift, some crash, and some model predicts Robbie Nishida for the win. Yep, this video pretty much has everything.
Can Samuel Steal Back his Crown?

The Final Stretch:
Heading into the final event of the season, Tanner Foust has snatched the lead from 2-time champion Samuel Hubinette. Tanner, however, only leads the pack by 26 championship points. In order for Hubinette to take back the crown, not only will Sam need to finish in 1st or second place, but he will need to Tanner to place no higher then 4th. Rhys Millen has a bit more of a mountain to climb, trailering Tanner by 56 points. In order for Rhys to take the crown, Tanner would need to fail to qualify for the seasons final event. Barring some sort of Tanya Harding shenanigans, the likelihood of this occurring are pretty low considering that Tanner has been one of the most consistent qualifiers over the past 2 seasons, and owes his 2007 Championship in large part to his qualifying prowess.
The Points Leaders:
- 504 - Tanner Foust
- 478 - Samuel Hubinette
- 448 - Rhys Millen
- 423 - Daijiro Yoshihara
- 403 - Chris Forsberg
- 389 - Ryan Tuerck
- 381 [-18pts] - Michihiro Takatori***
